Jean Claude Roman is a French man who led a double life, he made people believe he was a medical doctor who worked with the WHO but in reality he was a jobless impostor.

For 18 years, he told several lies to cover up his track. He claimed to have strong ties with highly placed individuals. Several times he lied about going on government-sponsored vacations while he stayed in a motel not far from his home.

To maintain his fake status and lifestyle; he inspired his relatives to invest in hedge funds and other promising ventures. He gathered their resources, promised them heavy returns in the future while living off of their hard earned money.

When one of the investors blew his cover by looking into the list of WHO employees in the region. Jean went on rampage killing his two parents, his wife and two children, set their house before taking overdose of sleeping pills.

He was rescued before the fire razed down their house. Jean was sentenced to prison on July 6, 1996. Sadly, he was released from prison in April 2019 after being paroled.
