Danny Trejo was a teenage thief and drug dealer, he spent three years in San Quentin prison's notorious North Block, known as the "Death House." The oldest prison in California,the state's only death row for male inmates. It is the largest in America.
Trejo was facing the death penalty for attempted murder of a prison guard when a miraculous streak of good luck led him to eventually earn parole — and completely turning his life around.
He went from the death row to a movie star.
